Fire alarm engineer qualifications

I. Job qualifications

  1. High school diploma with appropriate work experience is required. Minimum of class D electrical licensing required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Certifications for appropriate skills and technical training preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in a technical security environment with 1 - 3 years in the direct management of construction or security installation projects.
  3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  4. Excellent customer service skills
  5. Technical knowledge of Smart Home, CCTV, intrusion alarm, Audio/radio communication and other related systems
  6. Expertise in design, maintenance, and troubleshooting an enterprise-wide security environment
  7. An ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  8. Proficiency in the use of Fidelity standard software.
  9. Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
  10. Results oriented
  11. Flexibility
  12. Political/organizational astuteness with the ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization from administrative assistants to senior business unit leaders
  13. Ability to work independently
