Fire coordinator qualifications


This post included compentencies required such as knowledge, skills, abilities for Fire coordinator position. The standard job qualification includes: education/knowledge, skills, abilities (KSA model, core competency), experience, license, qualities, training courses, physical requirements, degree or certificates…

I. Job qualifications

  1. Relevant qualification in an Emergency Services Discipline at the level of Senior Fire Fighter or equivalent
  2. Or; RII 30709 Cert IV Emergency Response and Rescue
  3. Experience in the resource industry in the field of emergency response or loss control.
  4. Equivalent experience/training leading to the thorough knowledge of fire fighting and response strategies
  5. Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications
  6. Knowledge of safety and health standards, and regulations
  7. Proficiency in developing and conducting HSES or ER training programs
  8. Experience with NT Worksafe, or other Australian regulators is preferred
  9. Working a 58 hour week either locally, FIFO or live in
  10. Strong written and oral communication
  11. Must be in good health and able to walk extended distances in tropical climate conditions
