I. List of Fire technician duties:


  1. Inspects, repairs, and tests fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices.

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Valid Driver’s License
  3. State of Alaska Class III Fire Extinguisher Permit
  4. Ability to lift and carry 60 Ibs periodically on a daily basis.
  5. Willingness to obtain and maintain State of Alaska Fire Systems Certifications for Alarms (IB), Sprinklers (IIB) and Special Hazards (IIIB).
  6. Knowledge of inspection, repair, maintenance, and testing techniques for fire safety equipment and systems.
