Fire watchman tasks

I. List of Fire watchman duties:

  1. East Houston area company is looking for a Hole Watch/Fire Watch technician.
  2. The right candidate must have TWIC card, basis plus and FSA safety certifications to start.
  3. Constantly scrutinizing a prescribed area of concern is the main job duty.
  4. Candidate will keep meticulous records of any suspicious or potentially hazardous conditions are required while Activating appropriate alarms and promptly contacting emergency response personnel is necessary.
  5. A hole/fire watch uses phone, email and wireless communication devices to share concerns and information with associates as well as people at high-risk locations.
  6. Skills needed include excellent vision, a keen sense of attention to detail.
  7. An observation through binoculars and closed-circuit cameras and monitoring remote alarm and security systems is also required skill.
  8. The hole/fire watch needs to be able to communicate effectively with next shift, supervisors and other workers any abnormalities or concerns that need close observation.
  9. Background in fire prevention, fire education or fire-fighting is desirable.
  10. Familiarity with alarm systems and emergency protocol procedures is an asset. Experience in safety inspection is a plus.

II. List of Fire watchman qualifications

  1. Must have a TWIC Card, Basic Plus, FSA and Site specific.
  2. Must have at least 2 years Experience in this related field.
  3. Must be able to pass an On-Site drug screen.
  4. Must have a reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  5. Must have proper PPE (ie: Reflective safety vest, Steel toes, and hard hat)
  6. No Felonies within the last 3 years and NO VIOLENT Felonies ever.
